  • 2 cups cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. Whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In a trifle dish, layer crumbled chocolate cake, cherries, and whipped cream.
  4. Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  5. Drizzle cherry pie filling on top and garnish with chocolate shavings.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
