  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup espresso, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl. Press mixture into the bottom of a tart pan.
  3. Bake crust for 10 minutes, then allow to cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. In another bowl, combine mascarpone, powdered sugar, espresso, and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
  6. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined.
  7. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  9. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the espresso amount.
  • Consider adding chocolate shavings on top for a decorative finish.
