  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Gradually add in the flour until just combined.
  6. Spread half the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Add the cherry pie filling over the batter.
  8. Drop the remaining batter by spoonfuls over the cherries.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
