  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat and add the onions. Sauté until caramelized.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add the beef broth, thyme, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix in the cooked macaroni and cheeses until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve garnished with parsley.
