- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup crushed pistachios
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and milk, alternating between the two.

- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone cheese with a bit of sugar if desired.
- Layer the cakes with mascarpone cheese in between and on top.
