  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges
  • fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the Cornish hens dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the mixture all over the Cornish hens.
  5. Stuff the hens with lemon wedges and fresh herbs.
  6. Place the hens on a roasting pan and roast for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the hens rest for 10 minutes before serving.
